To Tweet Or not To Tweet?

I am reading the last report on Twitter usage with very interesting findings. Besides the explosive growth of social networks headed by facebook, Its interesting the awareness that twitter have in 2010 (87%) compared to 2009 (26%). This make me think about the future of communication through social networks. Even though for the time being facebook is leading the social network market, the huge growth of smartphones can make us think in a different picture.

If mobile phones will overtake PCs as the most common Web access device worldwide by 2013 (Gartner) and 63% of twitter user access networking services via mobile phone against 34% of social networks users (Edison Research). Doing simple maths Twitter will be heading social network environment in the coming future. Get use to communicate in 140 character or less.
